Happy Friday Everyone!

Things have been coming along quite well since my last post.  We have been working on our new website and growing our online presence on Google+.  If you would like to have a sneak peak at our business page on Google+ Click Here. We just started this page on February 5th, 2015 and have had over 100,000 views in the past 3 weeks! 

I created an ad for our website and posted to our page and that ad has received over 17,000 views in the past 24 hours! It's currently a Hot Topic on Google+.

Happy New Year!

It's been a busy year for me and I haven't been over here for quite some time. I apologize for not blogging more often but I haven't forgotten it was here.

I had some surgery a few weeks back and have been busy just trying to recover and heal and get back out to taking more photos. In the past two weeks since I have been back out I think I was missed a little bit, lol. As soon as I started posting some of my newest work it seemed to really take off again!

Below is a screen shot of some of my most recent works from this past month (Jan 2015) showing the views, Faves and Likes from  my 500px.com. This seems to be the place that I spend most of my time. I have really enjoyed looking at all the fabulous photography there and it really inspires me to keep creating!

Also.. I will be printing up my Fine Art & Photography images up to 44 inches tall by up to 100 ft long, lol! They will be made available only through me and will be signed by me. Guess it just depends how BIG of a panorama I make!  When the website is finished I will update my blog with a link to the website and the Facebook page.You will be able to see some samples of the type of work that we will be doing in house. All custom framing and matting capabilities!

Backyard Photography

Over the past few months I have been busy taking the time to try to bring nature closer to me. This has meant growing a new wildflower garden, hanging up some bird feeders, and my husband has built a beautiful little nature observatory or bird blind for me in the back corner of the yard. This deck overlooks a canal that I have been taking walks on to get many of my bird photos. Now I can  just sit under my umbrella and wait to see what will come my way...:)

Of course it helps to have a good camera and a long lens to get most of these shots. I am currently using a Nikon D7000 and a 100-400mm lens.  This is a great lens to use for the type of photography I do and with a little luck I just might be fortunate enough to get the new 150-600mm lens!  That would be a dream!

So far its been really good and I hope to continue being able to capture so much more of the wildlife that I know is around me.  Patience is what most of these shots are about and taking a lot of time to study nature and also let them get used to seeing me. Once they know that the big black thing around my neck is not going to harm them, nor am I... they get more relaxed with my presence. 

Being able to photograph so much nature from my backyard is a wonderful privilege and having a spouse who is also a photographer and great builder is also a plus, lol.  Thank you Bob for all your support and hard work..:)

Fun With Bubbles!

Looking for some fun photography? Try bubbles! I purchased a bubble wand on eBay for about $9.00 and it came with instructions for making the bubble solution and I let it sit overnight as the instructions said to do and below are a few of my results.  Now, keep in mind, I am the bubble maker and the photographer at the same time. Not an easy thing to do but well worth the results.

325,000 Views To My Photos In ONE Month!

February was a very good month for my photos. I doubled the views I had to my photos in  my Flickr profile! Having 3 photos make it to Explore last month was certainly a great boost.  That alone was almost 100,000 views on just 3 photos.

The rest of the month I had some really good days with 25,000+ views and a few low days of around 2,200+ views. I am just thrilled that I have made many new followers and lots of new fans ( over 950 new followers) this past month. I am now over 650,000 views.
