Motophoto Alert!! Hairpin Curve Ahead- Photo by Julie Everhart
It's been a long time since I have shared or talked about my "Motophotos". A Motophoto is word that was made up and is best described as a photo you take while in a moving vehicle. Ya know... like when you just don't really have a way to get the photo you want any other way so you grab your camera and turn it on and quickly snap the image! This photo was taken on this day 9 years ago while driving near Ellenville, NY.
When we got to the bottom of the curve I had to get out of the vehicle and get a photo of what it looked like. Click on images to see an enlarged view. A hairpin turn (also hairpin bend, hairpin curve or corner etc.), named for its resemblance to a hairpin/bobby pin, is a bend in a road with a very acute inner angle, making it necessary for an oncoming vehicle to turn about 180° to continue on the road. And of course Motophotos are best taken from the passenger side while you are NOT driving the vehicle. Stay safe my friends and thanks for stopping by!
Keep those cameras clicking!
